Five years after a devastating house fire, Vanessa was on deaths door for three months following an explosion which saw her thrown out of the window, and with 48% full thickness burns.
Under a new collaboration between award-winning Novo Cabelo and The Katie Piper Foundation, Vanessa is the first recipient of the new hair restoration service. The Katie Piper Foundation supports adult survivors of life-altering burns and scars, aiming to improve survivors’ quality of life by supporting them physically, mentally, and emotionally through a personalised rehabilitation programme, whether the injury is recent or many years ago.
The Katie Piper Foundation is the leading charity in the UK dedicated to burns rehabilitation. Novo Cabelo will partner with The Katie Piper Foundation to provide hair restoration services to burns survivors across the UK, and this new partnership will see Novo Cabelo leverage their Novo Pro salons across the UK to support with the service delivery.

With make up by esteemed Make-up Artist, Amanda Bell, Vanessa’s transformation was kept under wraps until the unveiling. Vanessa’s reaction said it all “Oh, my god, it’s lovely, I can’t believe it. The length, everything, I can’t believe it.”
Vanessa has been supported by The Katie Piper Foundation and the experienced team have been a vital source of support, and without their support Vanessa truly feels she wouldn’t be here today, as they have been with her at every step of her journey.
